Many CALD families, youth and communities in Australia face immense challenges. Their
strength and resilience is compromised by multiple complex problems, including
marginalisation and racism. These issues may lead to create negative impact on AfricanAustralian children and their families.
The community and culture programs focus on supporting cultural identity and improving
respect and appreciation for African-Australian culture. Our work contributes towards social
cohesion for all Australians. We provide a culturally safe environment, being respectful of
diverse cultures and offering a range of cultural immersion activities.
